Dr. Krystof Bankiewicz holds an M.D. from Jagiellonian University in Crakow and a Ph.D., D.Sc. from the Institute of Neurology and Psychiatry in Warsaw, Poland and Professor title by the President of Republic of Poland. Dr. Bankiewicz was a recipient of Fogarty Fellowship and trained at the National Institutes of Neurological Disorders and Stroke at NIH, Bethesda, MD.
My research experience has been focused for many years on translational neuroscience. I have participated extensively in the creation of novel approaches for the delivery of therapeutic agents to specific target regions within the brain to develop effective treatments for brain diseases. In addition, I have developed release assays for clinical gene therapy products, and I am an expert on analytical method development and optimization.
Dr. Samaranch received his B.Sc. degree and PhD from the University of Navarra (Pamplona, Spain), studying biomarkers for early detection of Alzheimer-type dementia. During this time, he mastered many techniques in the fields of genetics, biochemistry, neuroimaging, and psychology.
